Rosenwald Lauded at Welfare Parley

Prominent members of the American clergy, delegates attending the international convention of social workers in progress here, will participate in a good-will meeting of the Montefiore Club tomorrow arranged by Rabbi H. Stern of Temple Emanu-El and the Reverend Carlisle of this city.

Many well known American Jews are among the 6,000 delegates attending the convention which opened yesterday. They heard David Croll, Jewish Minister of Welfare in Ontario, extend greetings to the convention. Among the guests ot the convention are Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins and National Relief Administrator Harry L. Hopkins.

In an opening address by Canadian Senator Beaubien, the late Julius Rosenwald was lauded as among those whose philanthropic activities had been beneficial to the United States and Canada.

Speakers at the good-will meeting include Dr. Everett Clinchy of New York, Rabbi Philip Bernstein of Rochester and Father Robert Barry of Boston.
