Rabbi Stephen S. Wise of New York today threatened to walk out of the World Zionist Congress which opens next Tuesday if an attempt is made to censor discussion of Nazi persecution in Germany.

Efforts to block discussion of the Nazi situation are being made by Franz Mehr, a representative of the German Zionist Federation, who arrived here specifically for that purpose.

He declared that if the Congress indulges in anti-Nazi discussions, the German delegation of 34 will be unable to attend or will be compelled to walk out in protest.

It is believed the German delegation’s objections to discussing the German political situation are based on fear of possible reprisals against the delegates when they return home.
