Declaring that there is “irrefutable proof” of discrimination against Jewish athletes in Germany, Jeremiah T. Mahoney, president of the Amateur Athletic Union, demanded that United States withdraw from the Olympic games in Berlin in a nation-wide radio address last night.

He declared he will throw his influence as a member of the American Olympic Committee for withdrawal. “I feel the greatest aid that America can give those countless millions suffering in Germany at the present time is to make positive declaration to the Hitler government that we will not take part unless the unjust, inhuman and unsportsmanlike conditions which have been created are eliminated forthwith,” he asserted.
