The Treasury Department has announced arrangements to facilitate trade relations with Germany. After placing countervailing duties on certain German products because of subsidization, the Treasury relaxed some of the restrictions.
Americans with credits frozen in Germany can, under the new plan, use them to buy German goods for importation to the United States. Americans selling goods in Germany can use the frozen credit they receive in payment to buy German goods for their own accounts.
