The harbor being constructed at Tel Aviv is to remain a private enterprise, officials of that all-Jewish city were informed today by High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope.

Sir Arthur’s decision, disclosed after correspondence on the matter with Colonial Secretary William Ormsby-Gore, ends hopes of Government aid in the project, undertaken last Summer when Arab disorders made inaccessible the neighboring port of Jaffa.
