Citizens’ League to Fight Fascism, Communism Urged in Canada

Plans were being groomed in the House of Commons today for establishment of a citizens’ league to combat fascism and communism.

Action was spurred by a speech yesterday by Minister of Justice Ernest Lapoint who urged formation of such a league, comprising all classes of the public, to fight all subversive or revolutionary movements. The suggestion was greeted with cheers.
