British Commission Not to Be Named Before End of October

THE NEW COMMISSION WHICH THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT WILL SEND TO PALESTINE TO CONFER WITH ARABS AND JEWS AND TO FORMULATE A DEFINITE PARTITION PLAN WILL NOT BE APPOINTED BEFORE THE END OF OCTOBER, IT WAS LEARNED TODAY, THE OFFICIAL VIEW BEING THAT THERE IS NO REASON TO RUSH MATTERS BEFORE THE PRELIMINARY SPADEWORK IS COMPLETED.

REPORTS THAT SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE PEEL ROYAL COMMISSION WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE NEW COMMISSION WERE SEMI-OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED. IT IS HELD IN OFFICIAL QUARTER THAT IT WOULD BE A PITY TO WASTE THE FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE FORMER BODY.
