Italian newspapers tonight tried to justify the Cabinet decree for expulsion of all Jews who entered Italy since Jan. 1, 1919. The papers reported the decree under large headlines.

Giornale d’Italia declared editorially that foreign Jews established here in the past 20 years represented dangerous elements in the nation, and asserted that anti-Jewish measures should be applied in most European and American states. La Tribuna protested that many posts in principal institutions were held by Jewish leaders.
