Foreign Undersecretary Richard A. Butler told Commons today the British Government has given neither Iraq nor other governments any assurances on future Palestine policy other than its constant desire to find a just solution. He said the views of the Iraq Government will be taken into consideration. He added that close touch has been kept with the French Government concerning the activities of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, an exile in Syria, and with other countries bordering Palestine on the question of arms smuggling.
