Dr. Stephen Duggan, director of the Institute of International Education, in a letter to the New York Times today, applauds movements in colleges for aiding refugees, but cautions against too hasty action. He points out that students who bring refugees to their colleges have morally obligated themselves to finance the four-year college career. He also appeals against withdrawal of support from the International Student Service, which has been active in aiding refugees, and urges support of the newly organized Refugee Student Coordinating Committee.
