Hundreds of Polish Jews residing abroad have appealed to the High Court against their denationalization under a recent law authorizing such action against nationals who have lived outside of Poland more than five years or whose activities are deemed detrimental to the State. The court is now issuing certificates confirming the fact that an appeal has been filed. The German authorities, after prolonged negotiations, have agreed not to expel persons holding such certificates.
