Solomon Mikhoels, art director of the Moscow State Jewish Theater has been awarded Soviet Russia’s highest distinction for dramatists — the little “People’s Artist of the U.S.S.R.” — and 17 other members of the company have been decorated on the occasion of the theater’s twentieth anniversary.
