There is reason to believe that “preliminary exploration of the ground has been undertaken in Cairo and Baghdad” looking toward a British Government announcement of its Palestine policy, the diplomatic correspondent of The Times reported today. The British Charge d’Affaires in Baghdad has been holding conversations with Premier Nuri Pasha es-Said, while Premier Mohammed Mahmoud Pasha of Egypt has been ascertaining the views of the Palestine Arabs on “certain British suggestions,” the correspondent said.
