The Nazi Minister of Propaganda, Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels, went shopping in a Cairo bazaar during his recent visit to Egypt and made purchases from two Jewish dealers, according to the Cairo correspondent of the London Jewish Chronicle.

Dr. Goebbels, according to the correspondent, bought $200 worth of silverware from one dealer and $20 worth of Egyptian silk from another. Later in the day, an official in the Propaganda Minister’s retinue returned to one of these places to buy another $100 of goods. Although Dr. Goebbels visited several stores, the purchases in the Jewish establishments were the only ones he made, the dispatch said.
