A Havas News Agency dispatch dated Berlin reported today that at 27-year-old Jew named Israel Joseph, who was serving a six-year sentence for “Rassenschande” (soiling the race), has been killed in jail. Nazi newspapers said he was slain because of “active resistance” to his jailers.
