Christian organizations and leaders are among the sponsors of a mass demonstration to protest Nazi oppression of Jews in Poland and Greater Germany, to be held in Madison Square Garden Dec. 13, it was jointly announced today by the American Jewish Congress and the Jewish Labor Committee.
Associated with the two Jewish groups in arranging the rally are the American Federation of Labor, through President William Green; the American Committee on Religious Rights and Minorities, the Church Peace Union and the Protestant Teacher’s Association. Bishop William T. Manning, ex-Governor Alfred E. Smith, Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt, Prof. Albert Einstein and Dr. John Haynes Holmes are among prominent individuals on the Committee of Sponsors for the meeting.
