All six Jews in the present Congress were reelected and one former Congressman was named to the House, it was indicated today in almost complete returns.
Herman P. Koppleman (Dem., Conn.) was defeated in the 1938 elections, but regained his House seat in yesterday’s elections. The Representatives who were reelected are:
Illinois–Adolph J. Sabath (Dem.), dean of the House and chairman of its Rules Committee;
New York–Emanuel Celler, Samuel Dickstein, M.M. Edelstein and Sol Bloom, all Democrats;
Pennsylvania–Leon Sacks (Dem.).
