Sixty Jewish authors and journalists, meeting in one of the most heavily bombed areas of London, last night discussed the problem of culture in the present perilous times. Leib Jaffe, director of the Keren Hayesod, stressed the encouragement drawn by Jews in time of adversity from “Judaism’s eternal faith in justice and the liberty of the soul.”
