Leaders of three faiths, Catholic, Protestant and Jewish, together with Governor Dwight Green of Illinois and Mayor Edward Kelly, today participated in the eightieth anniversary of the “Sinai Temple,” the first reform congregation in America, which was organized as a direct outgrowth of the “Reform Verein,” established in June, 1857.

The celebration started with the morning religious service under the direction of Rabbi James Heller of Cincinnati, President of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. It was continued in the evening when several church dignitaries greeted the congregation which is headed by Rabbi Louis Mann.
