The 27th anniversary of the American Joint Distribution Committee was marked today by a broadcast over the Columbia Broadcasting System network which featured an address by Edward M. M. Warburg, Chairman of the JDC, and the reading by Frederic March, screen actor, of a poem written especially for the program by the noted novelist Robert Nathan.
Mr. Warburg in his address pointed out that the JDC gave direct help to more than a million war sufferers in 1940 and is now operating in fifty countries all over the world.
