Synagogue Council Urges Governor to Veto Proposal for Saturday School Sessions

The Synagogue Council of America today addressed an appeal to Governor Thomas E. Dewey, urging him to veto the “Young-Milmoe Bill” which would authorize school authorities to hold Saturday sessions if necessary to enable students to work in farms or canneries during the week or in the Spring.
