Information reaching here today reveals that Alfred Selbiger, leader of the German Hechalutz movement, was executed in a Nazi concentration camp in December of last year. Selbiger, who directed the emigration of Jewish children from Germany to Palestine after the advent of Hitler, had refused to avail himself of opportunities to leave the country as long as any of the Chalutzim remained. A garden will be planted on Jewish National Fund land here to honor his memory, the J.N.F. announced.

The Glasgow Jewish Institute will plant 3,000 additional trees in the Children’s Forest in Palestine to mark the martyrdom of the child victims of the Nazis, it was reported here today.
