Plans for salvaging and restoring collections of Jewish historical and cultural material destroyed or confiscated by the Nazis, after the war, were discussed here today at a meeting of the Jewish Historical Society.

The gathering proposed that after the Axis is defeated the following actions be taken; Restore collections to their original owners, if they can be located, Compel payment of damages and losses by the state responsible. Wherever the individual or institution from whom the material was taken cannot be found or no longer exists, the collections should either be deposited in trust with the Jewish community or an institution able to care for them, or sent to the Hebrew University in Jerusale
