Public Hearings Planned on Sending Relief to People in Nazi-held Countries

A special bi-partisan sub-committee headed by Senator Elbert D. Thomas of Utah, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is planning public hearings for September on a resolution urging the immediate sending of relief to people in Nazi-occupied territories, it was reported here today, while Secretary of State Cordell Hull, replying to queries by reporters, placed full responsibility for sending or not sending relief to these territories on the British Government.
