Palestine Jews Send Relief to Victims of Earthquake in Turkey

The Red Mogen Dovid, which is the Jewish Red Cross of Palestine, today presented a check for $400 to the Turkish Consulate here as the first donation from Palestine Jews for the relief of victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey. Accepting the donation, the Turkish Consul General expressed his thanks, pointing out that Palestine is the first country to respond to the emergency call issued by Turkey.

The Agudath Israel, extreme orthodox organization, today announced the establishment of a separate Community Council in Tel Aviv with Rabbi Karelitz as Chief Rabbi.
