Deported Bulgarian Jews Ordered to Remove All Goods from Former Homes

Jews who were deported from Sofia and other large Bulgarian towns to several villages some months ago were instructed today to remove all belongings from their former homes by the end of this month.

A decree issued by the new Commissar for Jewish Affairs, Stumonyakov, provides that if the household goods are not removed by the end of November, the police will enter the dwellings and sell whatever they find. The Jews will be allowed to sell or store their property, it is understood.
