The Jewish National Council of Palestine has decided to send a delegation to London to acquaint the British Government and public opinion here with the incident at the colony of Ramath Hakovesh, where one settler was killed, several wounded, and many arrested when British police, together with Polish military police raided the colony in a search for arms, it is reported today. The delegation, the report adds, will also discuss with high officials the present tense situation in Palestine.

The Manchester Guardian, leading liberal daily, says today that dangerous tension has been created in Palestine by the arms trials and the searches for arms. It warns the Palestine authorities that it is their duty to deal impartially with Jews and Arabs and “to abstain from imputing offenses to individuals of a community which has done everything possible, under great discouragements, to help the Allied cause.” At the same time, the Guardian editorial warns the Jews in the country not to resort to violence which would serve the interests of persons opposed to Jewish aspirations.
