All Jews who live in the Southern area of occupied France must pay a “solidarity contribution” of 360 francs to the “Union Israelite de France,” the Vichy radio said last night in a domestic broadcast.
The broadcast stated that the commissariat general for Jewish questions “reminds” all Jews of the payment which is ” in accordance with the decree passed on May 11, 1943.”
