Jewish seamen paraded through the streets of Tel Aviv and Haifa today as the entire Jewish community of Palestine observed “Maratime Day,” Mass-meetings were held throughout the country and flags were flown from the buildings of Jewish national institutions.
The Hebrew press devotes editorials to the occasion, pointing out that Jewish development in Palestine can be greatly enhanced by maratime activities, and that there is much pioneering still to be done in this field.
