Premier George Papandreou of the Greek Government-in-Exile, today expressed sympathy with the persecuted Jews of occupied Europe in a statement reading:

“Ancient links unite Israel with the Hellenes, both of whom are heirs of a spiritual heritage which has triumphed once again over the ordeals of war. I hope earnestly that Jewry, so cruelly stricken in these years of misery, Will finally find amidst the liberated world its just place due it on the basis of its noble past and traditional virtues.”
