The Arab reaction to the adoption of pro-Zionist Palestine planks by both the Republican and Democratic parties is voiced today by the widely circulated newspaper Al Sabah which says “we do not know how to reconcile the American parties’ resolutions with the United States statement about world peace and protection of the weak against the strong.”
Meanwhile, it is reported that Viscount Gort, newly appointed High Commissioner of Palestine, will confer here in September with Sir Harold MacMichael whom he is succeeding, Lord Gort is understood to be studying reports on the Palestine situation at present.
