Only about 2,000 of the 120,000 Jews doported from France by the Germans have returned, according to Meilech Topicl, president of the Federation of Polish Jews in France. Addressing a meeting, last night, in Town Hall, arranged by the American Federation of Polish Jews, M. Topiol, who was a leader of the Franch underground, said that the 170,000 Jews remaining in France constitute the largest proportion of Jewish population to remain in any country occupied by the Germans.
