Support for Jewish immigration into Palestine has been approved by the World Trade Union Federation’s executive bureau and a letter expressing this view is to be sent to the British Government, it was reported here today.
The executive is also considering nomination of delegates to investigate the situation in Palestine and Vicente Lombardo Toledano, Latin American representative, was mentioned as probable chairman of the investigation.
The executive further agreed that the federation should do its utmost in helping to remove antagonisms between Jewish and Arab workers and trade unions in Palestine and to help them reach mutual understanding and cooperation. These resolutions reaffirm the position taken by the World Trade Union Conference in London last February.
