The sum of $110,000 was raised last night by the United Jewish Appeal of New York at the “Night of Stars.” a panorama of personalities from the entertainment world, held at Madison Square Garden and attended by more than 20,000 persons. A 170-page yearbook recording Jewish achievements in Palestine was issued by the UPA on the occasion of the event.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
