Bulgarian Government Assists Jewish Community to Obtain Winter Fuel for Meedy

The problem of supplying needy Sofia Jews with fuel this coming winter was eased today as a result of a government order authorizing the Jewish community council to purchase coal from the Pernik mines at a very low price. The coal is also needed for the public kitchens maintained by the community.

Rabbi Abram Blum, representing the Chief Rabbinate of Palestine and the World Fierachi Organization, arrived in Sofia today. After consultation with relief organizations here, Rabbi Blum will procceed to Britain on a relief mission and hopes to visit Agentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
