Bulgarian Bank Returns Confiscated Valuables to Jewish Owners; Schools Receive Grant

The Bulgarian Agrarian Bank, at the request of the Jewish Consistory, has decided to restore to the Jewish owners all the property and effects deposited in the bank by the Commissriat for Jewish Questions, it was announced here today. This had not been done hitherto because of a wrong interpretation of the law by the bank’s legal adviser.

The Sofia municipality today granted on additional subsidy of a half-million leva to Jewish elementary schools.
