The Rumanian Government today announced that it will permit the transfer to Palestine of property belonging to Jews who emigrated from Rumania to Palestine since the pro-Nazi government of former Premier Ion Antonescu came into power in September 1940.

The transfer will be effected chiefly by exporting to Palestine Rumanian products purchased with funds secured by selling the property of the Jewish emigres. The sale of the Jewish property will be conducted by a Zionist commission established by the Palestine Office here for liquidating the belongings of Rumanian Jews who now live in Palestine.

A delegation of the commission is leaving soon for Palestine to discuss the details of the transfer with the Jewish Agency executive, and to establish a Rumanian-Palestine Transfer Institute through which all transactions will be carried on.
