The first issue of “Der Weg,” a weekly newspaper published by the Jewish community of Berlin, appeared today, featuring an article, “The individual and the Community,” by Dr. Leo Beach, former Chief Rabbi of Germany.
The newspaper is published in German, because no Yiddish type is available. It carries a lengthy discussion of the position of the Jew in Germany, and reports by various leaders of the community.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
