The Marine Perch, second immigrant ship to arrive from Germany under President Truman’s directive facilitating immigration into the U.S. from the American zone of Germany, docked here today with 411refugee Jews from various European countries.

The singing, happy immigrants were greeted at the pier by friends, relatives, and representatives of American Jewish organizations who had arranged to bring them over, such as the Joint Distribution Committee, the National Refugee Service, MEAS, the vaad Hatzale and others.
