Jews throughout Bulgaria today observed a day of fast in protest against recent British attacks on Jewish settlements in Palestine and the mass arrests of Jews there.

The money saved from food which was not eaten will be used to inscribe the names of the arrested Jewish leaders in the J.N.F. Golden Book. A memorial service for the Jewish war dead was held in the Central Synagogue with Chief Rabbi Daniel Zion officiating.
