Dr. Nahum Goldmann, member of the Jewish Agency executive, today conferred with Secretary of State Byrnes for the second time since Monday. The conference took place at Byrnes’ invitation.
Last week Secretary Byrnes had several conversations on Palestine with British Foreign Minister Ernest Bevin. It is reliably reported in State Department circles that the British appear to have gained a better understanding of the American policy on Palestine.
