The trial of three leaders of the Columbians, anti-Jewish and anti-Negro hate organization, went into its third day today with Homer L. Loomis, Sr., defending attorney and father of one of the defendants, attempting to arouse anti-Semitic feelings as a defense weapon. Throughout today’s session, Loomis referred to the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League, which first uncovered the activities of the Columbians, as “that Jew organization from New York.”
