The HIAS has decided to call off its Latin American conference scheduled to be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, because the Argetine Government has refused to issue transit visas to delegates from various neighboring countries, it was learned here during the week-end.

Auster Kroll, representative of the Palestine Foundation Fund, has finally received permission to visit this country. He received a visa from the Argentine consulate in Paris after several appeals by the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jews, to the Foreign Ministry and the consulate.
