The English Friends of the Hebrew University has raised nearly $270,000 during the past nine months for maintenance and new projects at the University, it was disclosed here last night at a meeting of the group.
The sum represents twice the amount contributed to the organization during the entire twelve months of the previous year. About half the total was earmarked for endowments and special purposes.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
