Dr. Herbert V. Evatt, chairman of the United Nations Ad Hoc Committee on Palestine, today called at the White House and spent over a half-hour discussing foreign affairs with President Truman. Dr. Evatt, who is also Australian Minister of External Affairs, refused to comment when asked whether he and the President had discussed the Palestine issue.
