The British Government has rejected all proposals to give the Exodus refugees Palestine immigration certificates, it was reliably learned here today.

The government refused to consider either the establishment of a special schedule for the Exodus Jews or the transfer of certificates earmarked for Jews in the British zone. The latter proposal was put forward several weeks ago by the Jewish DP’s in the British zone.

Reuters today reported from Famagusta, Cyprus, that Arieh Vizel, Jewish youth who escaped from a prison on the island, had been apprehended among the Exodus refugees. Vizel was charged with having placed explosives on a British deportation ferry in Famagusta harbor and blowing a hole in the hull of a ship.
