Oswald Pohl, a former Gestapo general, and three if its associates were today sentenced to death by an American military tribunal here for crimes against humanity.
The condemned men were part of a group of 18 former Gestapo officers charged with responsibility for the death of 1,000,000 Jews and other “non-aryans” and the imprisonment of 10,000,000 people. During the trial Pohl told the court that he was ###mlluenced on the Jewish question by Henry Ford’s “The International Jew,” which Ford disavowed several years after he published it.
