The Association of Jewish communities of Slovakia today appealed to the Slovak Government against the decision of the local administration of the town of Lucenec, in the southern part of the province, to for?id Jewish ritual slaughter of cattle. Report of similar bans throughout Slovakia have been received, and the government has just restored to the Jews of the town of ?resov this right after the matter was brought to its attention.

A report from the town of Sahy, in southern Slovakia, states that the Jews there have agreed to pay a voluntary tax of 50 percent of their communal tax to the support of the new Jewish state in Palestine. Other dispatches disclose that a number of Jewish communities are considering or have adopted similar measures.
