Jewish Actions Committee Suspends Activities of Prague Jewish Community Council

The Jewish Actions Committee today suspended the activities of the 32-menber Representative Committee of the Prague Jewish Community, well as the activities of the eight-man “Select Committee” of the Community. The representative Committee was elected by the Jews of Prague on secret ballots. The nations Committee expects to appoint a new group to lead the Community within the next few days.

Meanwhile, Dr. Karel Stein, chairman of the Prague Jewish Community, and Dr. ?nus Rezek, secretary-general of the Community and vice-Chief Rabbi in the city, have ?en retained in their present posts by the Actions Committee. Both men are Zionists.
