French Consul-General Rene Neuville met today with Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Shortok for the first time since the announcement of French de facto recognition of Israel. They discussed a number of questions concerning French-Israeli relations.

Some barter agreements have already been concluded between Israeli and French firms providing for the exchange of Israeli products for French silk thread and bicycles.
